COVID- 19 Resident Updates
Throughout the pandemic, the Community Development Department, with the support of the Administration team, continues to compile and distribute COVID-19 information and supports to our residents once a week as new and ongoing COVID-19 topics and services across the city became available. So far we have sent out 50 plus information emails with countless information and resources. Programs for Children & Youth
Social Recreation
Social Recreation Programs for children ages 7-12 will be available virtually in Dunbar, Hammill, Centrepointe, and Barrhaven. The program will feature a variety of fun activities for kids, that will be done virtually via Google Meet with our Recreation Assistant.
The program will run on Wednesday evenings in Barrhaven, Hammill & Dunbar, and Thursday evenings in Centrepointe.

Homework Support
NHC has partnered with NROCRC to provide virtual homework support for Grades 3-8. Help is available for a variety of subjects including French. Homework Support is available from Monday-Thursday between 4:00pm-7:00pm. For more program details click here.

Good Food on the Move
The Nepean Rideau and Osgoode Community Resource Centre invites Nepean Housing children, youth and their families in the community to register to receive a FREE box of fresh fruit and vegetables AND to cook up new recipes using the ingredients that come in your box. This program is for children ages 6-13. This program will be coming to the Dunbar/Hammill neighbhourhoods in early 2021. Stay tuned!

Outdoor Recreation
Get outside and play this winter! Nepean Housing in partnership with NROCRC will be offering an Outdoor Recreation Program. Activities may include, outdoor cooperative games, winter challenge games, and some sports. Program will be coming to Draffin neighbhourhood in 2021, stay tuned for details!
Bright Minds
Join us for a program that combines crafts and other activities with topics that focus on well being. Types of activities include abstract painting, DIY wall hangings, stress balls & more.
This program is designed for kids in two age groups, 5-7 and 9-12.
Programs for Adults & Seniors
Paint Nights
Join us for a monthly series of themed paint nights with our art teacher Stephanie Browness. She will teach you all the techniques you need to make your own beautiful art work. Paint nights will take place on the last Monday of every month. Any materials needed will be provided to you prior to program start.

Art Class
Our art teacher, Stephanie will walk you through all the steps needed to complete an art project in four weeks! You will learn the basics of watercolour and acrylic. You'll be calling yourself an artist before you know it!

Calling all breakfast lovers! Join Amanda on Zoom every Friday as you try out new breakfast recipes together. Any ingredients needed to make the recipes will be provided to you prior to program start. *Please note* this program is currently only available at 2 Hammill Court.
