EDUCATIONAL BURSARY
PROGRAM
WE ARE HAPPY TO INTRODUCE OUR THREE
BURSARY AWARD RECIPIENTS FOR 2026!
The NHC Board of Directors, at its August board meeting, was proud to celebrate the three recipients of the NHC 2026 Educational Bursary Award! 🎓
This year's recipients are pursuing three very different paths:
- Biomechanical Engineering (at Ottawa University - French Program). This program merges mechanics, biology and engineering to understand how forces interact with biological tissues and systems. Students will focus on developing solutions that improve human health and performance.
- Electromechanical Engineering Technology - Automation and Robotics (Algonquin College). This program will provide students with hands-on learning to develop skills in automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Child and Youth Care (at Algonquin College). This program prepares students for a career supporting children, youth and families through community and social services.
While their goals are different, all three recipients demonstrated determination, initiative and a clear commitment to building their futures through education.
Our bursary program was created to help reduce some of the financial barriers to post-secondary education for students living in NHC communities. We are grateful to everyone who applied this year and shared their goals, experiences and aspirations with us.
